-1-TITLE OF THE INVENTIONIDLING RPM FEEDBACK CONTROL SYSTEMFOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINESABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA system adapted to control a control valve forcontrolling the quantity of supplementary air beingsupplied to an internal combustion engine, in a feedbackmanner responsive to a difference between actual enginerpm and desired engine rpm at engine idle. The abovecontrol valve is opened in synchronism with a signalindicative of a predetermined rotational position of theengine. The system is also adapted to detect a totalquantity of suction air including the supplementary airbeing supplied to the engine, in synchronism with theabove predetermined rotational position signal, to supplya quantity of fuel corresponding to the detected totalsuction air quantity. Further, the system is adapted tostart opening the control valve upon a lapse of such aperiod of time after each pulse of the predeterminedengine rotational position signal has been inputted tothe system that a proper value of the total suction airquantity can be detected at the time of inputting of thenext pulse of the same signal to the system.
