A dual-energy heater comprising inter alia an electric boiler (2), a back-up boiler (7), a domestic hot water heating tank (3), a hydraulic circuit (4) provided with circulating pumps (8, 9, 10), is regulated by a central control (1) which permits the setting in operation or the stopping of the abovementioned elements (2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10), in any order, and according to a cycle determined as a function of the operating mode of the heater.
