DEVICE FOR INSPECTION AND REPAIRING PIPE OF STEAM GENERATOR FOR NUCLEAR REACTOR

A remotely operated manipulator for the inspection and/or repair of steam generator tubes for a nuclear reactor plant is introduced into the header chamber at one end of a steam generator and moved successively to different tube inlets in the tube plate. This manipulator(1) consists of an axially adjustable vertical support leg(7), a principal arm(9) connected to this leg and movable relative to the leg, and an equipment carrier(10) movably mounted on the arm. The manipulator is detachably connected to an installation rod(23). This device is used for remotely operated inspection and/or repair of heat exchanger tubes, where the header chamber adjacent to the tube ends contains a high level of radiation and man access is undesirable.
