The contactless position measurement and evaluation device for working cylinder piston positions is used for intermediate position measurement of a piston moving between two end points. A sensor signal corresp. to the instantaneous intermediate piston position is used to control elements such as magnetic valves, and relays. It produces a satisfactory signal for reliable control of dependent elements even for the highest piston speeds. The sensor output signals is fed to a circuit which converts it into an output signal suitable for the control of the relevant dependent components. The processed signal has a duration longer than that of the sensor signal. The time extension of the signal is achieved using an resistor-capacitor element or other storage device.
