The invention relates to a raisable window furnishing whose horizontal folds are produced by folding tapes mounted on the back of the web of material. The folding tapes have guide openings for a longitudinally running pull cord and extend in the vertical direction. In order to manufacture an inexpensive folding tape which is distinguished by a smooth, precise fold formation of the covering, it is proposed to form the guide loops for the pull cord on the backing tape from flat slit openings which are produced between the fixed base of the folding tape on the one hand and, on the other hand, in each case bundles of weft yarn running in portions floating over the width of the tape.
