Dogs for use in slot profiles on machine tools

There are dogs for use in slot profiles on machine tools, in particular for actuating limit switches, which consist of a bottom part of metal and a top part of tough plastic. The top part and the bottom part were hitherto connected by means of pins which were driven into transversely running bores. In order to simplify the manufacture of the dogs and to bring about greater reliability of the connection between bottom part and top part, it is proposed that a longitudinally running T-slot (10, 12, 13, 14, 15) be provided in the bottom part for anchoring the top part (2) to the bottom part (1), and that the base of the T-slot have longitudinal and transverse fluting.
