Tangential pick-up arm device for record players

A tangential pick-up arm device for record players has an elongated straight cylindrical supporting unit which is supported adjustably in height on a foot bracket and can be set horizontally and on which a tangential pick-up arm extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the supporting unit is mounted easily displaceably. In this arrangement, the foot bracket has a base plate, on which a rocker is fastened at a distance by means of a swivel bearing, the swivel axis of which is parallel to the plane of the base plate. The free end region of the rocker, facing away from the swivel bearing, is distanced from the base plate in a height-adjustable manner by means of a setscrew. The end region of the rocker neighbouring the swivel bearing bears a supporting column which extends with its longitudinal axis orthogonally to the plane of the rocker and on which the cylindrical supporting unit is fastened in the manner of a cantilever arm and mounted height-adjustably. The cylindrical supporting unit can be swivelled about the longitudinal axis of the supporting column in a plane parallel to the rocking plane and can be arrested. The tangential pick-up arm device ensures with relatively little structural complexity a universal precise setting, i.e. the horizontal alignment of the cylindrical supporting unit and the horizontal and tangential alignment of the pick-up arm.
