Wood feed for a cutter-spindle chip-forming machine for the continuous production of flakes from cut-to-length wood, with one fixed and one rotatable chain conveyor unit each which reliably hold the wood in position while it is fed to the cutter spindle at constant conveying speed and ensure that controlled cutting engagement of the cutter spindle can take place under constant cutting conditions even during the approach and run-out of the wood during its feed motion.
