摘要

In an internal combustion engine with a camshaft driven from the crankshaft by way of a toothed belt, the camshaft is to be adjusted relative to the toothed belt wheel. For this purpose the toothed belt wheel is mounted so that it is axially displaceable on the camshaft and is rotationally connected to this by way of a helical toothing. By means of a control device acting as a function of the load and speed, an axial displacement of the toothed belt wheel 2 is produced, the latter being moved under the running, axially self-fixing toothed belt. In a camshaft with a three-dimensional or characteristic curve cam, the camshaft is also axially displaced in a controlled/regulated manner.
