摘要
An apparatus for treating seawater or brackish water comprises a heat-resistant belt conveyor which is covered over its length with identical, evenly mutually spaced evaporation bodies. These first travel through a tunnel oven where they are heated and then into a vapour collection hood where they are sprayed with raw water. The steam resulting from the evaporation of water, together with air, is removed by suction as vapours and conducted to a heat exchanger, where the raw water to be treated is used as cooling water and is then sprayed in the hood on the evaporation bodies. The metering of the sprayed water is such that the evaporation bodies leave the vapour collection hood dry and having a salt crust. After reversal about the drive drum, the adhering salt is detached by ultrasonic sources, shakers or the like and collected. To utilise solar radiation, the conveyor belt, in the running direction prior to the tunnel oven, can have a section measuring up to 70% of the belt length where the evaporation bodies are preheated by solar irradiation.
