The invention relates to means for purifying, and keeping pure, contaminated water, in particular ground water for drinking purposes. For this purpose the invention provides two solutions. According to the first solution, the contaminated regions are separated off from the inflowing pure water so that this is forced to flow away or flow on at the side of the region of contaminated water without contact with this. As a result, the contamination regions are locally isolated. According to the 2nd solution, filters are connected intermediately transversely to the direction of flow in the contaminated regions.
