In a precision metering appliance for the metering of liquid media, consisting of a driven piston-valve metering pump controlled by a computer, it is possible, by switching on a precision balance recording data electronically, to cut in a control circuit, by means of which the precision and correctness of the metering volumes produced via the open control system of the computer-controlled and motor-driven piston-valve metering pump can be readjusted.
