PURPOSE:To obtain the current measured value of bodily temperature by providing a deciding means which decides whether there is the last measured value of bodily temperature or not, a display control means which displays the current value of bodily temperature, etc. CONSTITUTION:An electric signal from a temperature detection part 2 is sent to an A/D conversion part 5 and converted into a digital value, which is inputted to a CPU6. This CPU6 performs specific arithmetic to convert the electric signal into a value of bodily temperature, which is inputted to a display part 4 and a storage part 7. The value of bodily temperature is sent successively to a measurement end decision making part 8, which calculates a rise in bodily temperature. When the rise in bodily temperature decreases below a specific value, the elapsed time from when a value of bodily temperature before the rise in bodily temperature below the specific value is obtained is clocked by a timer 9. When the timer 9 measures the specific time, it is judged that the value of bodily temperature is a measured value of bodily temperature, and the measuring operation is completed.
