This electrode has a coating raincoat of 6,35 mm thick, in a silica glass - sodium in the crystallized state, which is not electrically conductive. In particular, it is an electrode made of carbon or graphite covered with a composition which, when it is dried, is not electrically conductive, and which comprises 10 - 70 of water; 0,5 - 15 of silicon dioxide, finely divided, 1 - 25 of phosphoric acid, 2 - 50 of titanium dioxide; and 2 - 50 of metallic carbide, these percentages being of the percentages by weight.
