Improvement to methods and devices for digitising and for gradation of patterns for cutting out fabric and leather

The invention relates to a method and to a peripheral 1 for automatically digitising patterns before gradation. The peripheral 1 comprises a platen 3 on which the piece of pattern 5 is positioned. A linear camera 7, arranged vertically along the axis x-x' facing the platen 3 and means 11 of moving the linear camera facing the platen 3. A digitising and processing system 25 linked to the camera 7 carries out processing of the images and determines the characteristic points of the contour and of the internal shapes of the reference pattern plan 5. The image file thus defined is next transmitted to a conventional gradation device. The invention allows automation of the digitising phase before gradation and cutting out of patterns. It provides greater rapidity and reliability in the digitising, especially in the field of production of garments and footwear. IMAGE
