Articulated ankle prosthesis for the handicapped. The invention consists of a ball 7 and its steel socket 1 mounted on a foot which may be composed of any material (wood or plastic). This ball 7 is fixed to an aluminium tube 5 replacing the pylon, with a spring 6. The ball pivots in the socket 1, the spring 6 returning it to its normal position when the foot is raised, which allows all positions of the foot as compared with those of the human foot (ground unevenness, etc.).
