High-performance sail system with a thick profile intended for the propulsion of all land or aquatic craft. The invention relates to a device for land or aquatic craft, with a sail which is thick and of variable profile, enabling the aerodynamic efficiency to be improved. It comprises a mast 1 surrounded by a pocket sail 6, tightened by battens 3 penetrating openings 2 of the mast. Amongst the more advantageous applications of the invention, there may be mentioned sailing boats of any size, sailboards, and land yachts. IMAGE
