Method for preparing palladium(II)(hexafluoroacetylacetonate)

Preparation of palladium(II) bis(hexafluoracetylacetonate) and adducts derived therefrom are disclosed, said adducts having the formula ##EQU1## wherein L is a Lewis base selected from certain classes, and n is an integer from 1 to 4. These compounds are useful in preparing catalytic and primer surfaces of elemental palladium.
