AUTOMATIC WELDING EQUIPMENT HAVING GROOVE PROFILING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality by forcibly weaving the arc of the torch which stops at the rocking end to the groove inner wall face by the magnetic field and by correcting the rocking center of the torch based on the measuring value of the arc voltage at the rocking end as well. CONSTITUTION:An arc rocking pattern generator 17 generates the pulse waved signal synchronized with the right and left ends in rocking of the torch, excites the coil of a magnetic probe 8 via an amplifier 18 and rocks the arc to the inner wall face by the magnetic field thus caused, in the term while a TIG torch 3 stops at the right and left end in rocking under welding. An arc voltage differential detecting circuit 19 moves the center of the torch rocking in the direction of reducing the difference thereof based on the comparison value of the arc voltage at the rocking end of the torch. In this way the welding quality can be improved.
