INTERLEUKIN-3-LIKE FACTOR FORMING CELL AND PRODUCTION OF INTERLEUKIN-3-LIKE SUBSTANCE USING SAME

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled factor from a supernatant liquid, by cultivating Jurkat cell capable of producing interleukin-3-like factor. CONSTITUTION:A Jurkat cell (e.g., Jurkat 1884F cell) as a parent strain i cloned by limiting dilution and a clone to provide supernatant liquid showing activity is collected by the use of existence of human interleukin-3 activity of supernatant liquid of the culture mixture as an index. It is repeatedly cloned by limiting dilution to give a human interleukin-3-like factor forming cell. The cell is stimulated by concanavalin A or phytohemagglutinin and cultivated to give a human interleukin-3-like factor. The factor has extremely high multiplication promoting action on an infant or young stem cell and is useful as a remedy for diseases (e.g., aplastic anemia, etc.,) caused by a too small amount or disorder of the infant or young stem cell.
