DRIVE SYSTEM OF BASE FOR TRANSISTOR IN INVERTER CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To remove the supply of base currents during an unnecessary period, and to reduce driving power by detecting the direction of load currents and driving a transistor under AND condition with a transistor drive signal from a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:Load currents are detected by a current detector 4, and an output from the detector 4 is introduced to a base-signal distributing circuit 8 through a current detecting circuit 6 and a current-direction discriminator 7. On the other hand, an output signal from an inverter control circuit 5 is introduced to the base-siganl distributing circuit 8. The base-signal distributing circuit 8 has timers 9, and assigns AND conditions of a transistor drive signal from the inverter control circuit 5 and a current-direction signal from the current-direction discriminator 7 in order to obtain base drive signals for mutually inverted transistors T1, T4.
