PURPOSE:To maintain the freshness of laver sheet and to prevent the discoloration and the lowering of freshness of laver, by washing collected culture laver in a water tank containing powder of crushed stone such as radioactive marble, limestone, etc., and shielding the laver with a film containing said crushed stone powder. CONSTITUTION:Collected culture laver is washed with water in a water-tank containing crushed stone powder such as radioactive marble, limestone, actinolite, magnetite, etc., stored in a ship's hold and shielded with a freshness-keeping film containing the above crushed stone powder. As an alternative method, laver is immersed in water containing crushed stone powder such as radioactive marble, limestone, actinolite, dolomite or magnetite and formed in the form of a laver sheet using the water.
