PREPARATION OF COLORED IRON PLATE WITH EXCELLENT ROLL MOLDABILITY

PURPOSE:To obtain a colored iron plate with excellent roll moldability at a low cost by a method wherein color painting is carried out to an age hardenable hot dip galvanized steel plate and, thereafter, leveler process is applied and, moreover, heat treatment is carried out within a predetermined temperature range. CONSTITUTION:After color painting is carried out to an age hardenable hot dip galvanized steel plate, leveler process is applied and, moreover, the said steel plate is aged by heating within a temperature range of 70-100 deg.C. Thus, there obtained at a low cost a colored steel plate which has no blocking and fluting deficiency, generating no pocket-wave and has excellent roll moldability. If aging temperature is below 70 deg.C, elastic limit can not be certainly restored to above 35kg/mm2 and pocket wave is generated. If above 100 deg.C, blocking is generated.
