STEEL PIPE SHEET PILE CONSTRUCTION FOR SOFT ROCKY GROUP OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To improve water-stopping property, by filling up the hollow sections of joint pipes with cut-off fillers after steel pipe sheet piles having the joint pipes with the closed lower ends are erected and the steel pipe sheet piles having the joint pipes in the axial direction on both sides are connected to preset sheet piles via joint pipes. CONSTITUTION:Steel pipe sheet piles 1' having joint pipes 2' with the lower end openings closed perfectly with cover plates 3' are previously erected at intervals of the one pile piece. Then, between the steel pipe sheet piles 1', the steel pipe sheet piles 1 having joint pipes 2 with the non-lapped surfaces only of the lower end openings closed with cover plates 3 are erected by putting together the joint pipes 2, 2' to be connected with slits 2a. After that, the hollow sections on the joint pipes 2, 2' are filled up with the cut-off fillers of mortar and the like. Besides, the landslide protection walls or the cut-off walls of the steel pipe sheet piles are constructed by repeating the same process.
