METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING TENSION FLUCTUATION OF TEMPER ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE:To maintain the specified tension between stands and tension on the inlet side of the 1st stand of a two-stages type temper rolling mill by determining the change rate of a speed from the change of the rolling force and draft of the 1st stand and correcting the speed of the 1st stand and the bridle speed on the inlet side. CONSTITUTION:The actual rolling force 15 in the 1st stand 2 is stored into memory parts 11, 12. The fluctuation rate of the rolling force is determined in an arithmetic part 10 and the calculation with the set value 16 of the draft of the 1st stand is made and the value thereof is obtd. in an arithmetic part 9. The calculation with the set value 17 of the speed of the 1st stand is made and the value thereof is obtd. in arithmetic parts 7, 8. These values are fed as a compensation quantity 20 of the 1st stand to a rotational driving source 6 which compensates the 1st stand 2. On the other hand, the calculation with the set value 18 of the speed of a bridle roll on the inlet side and the output from the arithmetic part 9 is made in an arithmetic part 14 and the bridle roll 3 is compensated by such value as the compensation quantity 21 of the bridle roll 3, by which the tension fluctuation of a strip 4 traveling between the stands 1 and 2 and in the inlet side of the 1st stand 1 is suppressed.
