PLANT GROWTH REGULATOR AND HERBICIDE CONTAINING GEOMETRICAL ISOMER OF TRIAZOLE COMPOUND OR ITS SALT AS EFFECTIVE COMPONENT

PURPOSE:A plant growth regulator and herbicide containing, as an effective component, a compound obtained by reducing a geometrical isomer of a specific ketone compound having two geometrical isomers, wherein the selected isomer exhibits an NMR spectrum of olefin protons at the higher magnetic field than the other isomer. CONSTITUTION:The titled agent containing, as an effective component, an isomer of a compound of formula II or its salt, [e.g. 1-(4-chlorophenyl)4,4-dimethyl-2 (1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-1-penten-3-ol], obtained by reducing one of the two geometrical isomers of a ketone compound of formula I (X is halogen; n is 0-2), wherein the selected isomer exhibits as NMR spectrum (in deuterochloroform solution) at higher magnetic field than the other isomer. The agent is formed to a desired form. The amount of the effective component in 100pts.wt. of the preparation is, e.g. 1-25, 25-90, 1-35, and 5-30pts.wt. in the case of powder, wettable powder, granule, and emulsion, respectively.
