PURPOSE:To generate voice representing human word by generating a word in a synthesized tone as pattern information at a terminal device side when a specific pattern with a symbol of synthesized voice from is called from a data file. CONSTITUTION:When the specific pattern with a symbol of a synthesized voice is called from a keyboard of a user's terminal equipment in a video tex communication system where the pattern information is filed in a host computer of an information center, a voice synthesis generation adaptor and a computer software are combined in the computer and a symbol required for the voice synthesis of a specific pattern is read by the computer added to the user's terminal device to synthesize voice in interlocking with the specific pattern and in relation with the specific pattern.
