PURPOSE:To improve a cohesive function by a method wherein polyacryl amide is further mixed and melted to a Mannich derivative of polyacryl amide as a coagulant and used. CONSTITUTION:When employing a Mannich derivative of polyacryl amide as an agglomerant, polyacryl amide that the reducing viscosity of a 0.1wt% water solution of polyacryl amide is not less than 15 and an anion functional group in a molecule is not more than 2mol is mixed and melted to the Mannich derivative at the rate of approximate 10-30wt% and used. Dialkyl amine combined by a Mannich reaction is separated from a polymer, and a methylol group increases in the polymer. The methylol group and an amide group are bridged in dehydration condensation shapes because polyacryl amide with high molecular weight coexists in a liquid. Thus, the effect of the agglomeration of the agglomerant is improved.
