PURPOSE:To avoid mutual interference of front and rear wheels thus to achieve sufficient anti-lock effect by constructing such that the coupling condition can be released through releasing means under anti-lock operation where the front and rear differential gears are coupled. CONSTITUTION:Prior to couple between the left/right front wheel axles and between the left/right rear wheel axles, the front/rear thrust shafts 5, 6 are coupled respectively to the input sections of front/rear differential gears 3, 4 while the front thrust shaft 5 is coupled to the power unit P. Both thrust shafts 5, 6 are coupled through power transmission/interruption unit 7 including a clutch associated with drum brake which will release the brake condition forcibly through releasing means 42. Said means 42 is operated by hydraulic pressure to be led from hydraulic source 48 through control valve 49 which is opened upon detection that anti-lock operation is performed under 4WD condition by means of a controller 50 thus to switch to 2WD condition.
