The ventilating valve housing, e.g. for ships oiltanks, has an inner chamber eccentric arranged in outer chamber. The outer chamber has an inlet opening connected to an inwards profiled housing lid above the over flow. The ventilating valve (1), has bottom flange (2) with inlet (3) fitted to compartment (4) and continuing as an outer chamber (5) with an over flow (6) and opening (7). The inner chamber (8) eccentrically fitted in the outer chamber includes a float (10) sealing against a valve seat (11). The housing (1) includes a removable contoured lid (12).
