Process for the production of Phenolic resins novolaca, of formula (i).Comprises reacting a phenolic Resin novolaca, prepared from a phenol and an aldehyde with an appropriate quinon diazide sulfonic acid or one of its derivatives Reagents; followed by Treatment with an acid anhydride policarboxilico, of formula (ii), to obtain a Compound Formula (i), in which AR1, ar2, R1, R2 and R3 may be several types of radicals and N is 1 - 20.These compounds have applications for the manufacture of Lithographic plates presensibilizadas.
