A B S T R A C TThe SHINNY PUCK is a weighted soft polymer safety puck closely parallelingofficially approved N.H.L. pucks in terms of appearance, size, weight, and'on ice' performance, designed specifically for unorganized amateur hockeysituations where full protective equipment is not used or available. Itcan either consist of two parts; an outer soft polymer conventional puckshaped disc jacketing a centrally suspended core made of high densitymaterial to give weight to the puck or the entire puck can be of ahomogenous composition consisting of a rubber base coupled with a heavyfiller powder uniformly dispersed throughout the entire puck volume.
