METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINATION OFRHEOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF POLYMERAND DISPERSE SYSTEMSABSTRACTA method for determination of rheological charac-teristics of polymer and disperse systems, realized bya device, comprises the steps of placing a system to beinvestigated into a gap between two coaxial cylinders,the first cylinder being rigidly secured of the caseof the device, while the second cylinder is rigidly con-nected to an output shaft of a servo drive, subjectingsaid system to mechanical deformation by tangentiallydisplacing one of the cylinders in relation to the otherin condition of the restricted shear flow of the system,and exposing the system to an electrical field producedin the gap by connecting a voltage source to the externalcylinder provided with butt ends transparent for radiation.The specified deformation and double refraction of thesystem are measured to determined thereby the rheologicalcharacteristics of the system being investigated.
