VARIABLE BAND DISTRIBUTED SWITCHING NODE WITH DYNAMIC HYBRID FRAME MANAGEMENT

摘要

ABSTRACTA variable band distributed switching node comprises aplurality of independent modules connected to a commonbus. Each module comprises a portion which processes lineinformation, and an interface adjacent to the bus whichcooperates with the interfaces of the other modules toform hybrid frames on the bus, which frames comprise aplurality of channels assigned to circuit switched communi-cations and a residual band portion shared by packetswitched communications. The frames are dynamicallymanaged by assigning each circuit switched channel a bandwhich can be different in the different frames to matchthe requirements of variable band sources and by makingagain the channels adjoining after each release.
