SELF-SUPPORTING HEATING ELEMENT FOR ELECTRIC OVENS AND ELECTRIC OVENS FITTED WITH SUCH ELEMENTS

An electric heating element, provided between its turns with spacer blocks composed of a heat resistant and electrically insulating material, oxide ceramics for example. Holding pegs are arranged through bores of the spacer blocks and extend through the spacer blocks arranged in a line, retaining them. By using spacer blocks of various thicknesses it is possible to modify the distance between the turns of the heating element. An electric oven provided with this heating element contains spacer blocks which are fixed inside the ceramic shell of the oven, along its longitudinal axis, and heating elements arranged between the spacer blocks.
