A human endogenous cancer regulatory factor (KBS) having a molecular weight of 82,000 ± 10,000 and an isoelectric point of pH 6.5 ± 0.5, a process for preparing KBS and a pharmaceutical composition containing KBS are disclosed. The KBS of the present invention is useful as a potent tumoricidal or anti-tumor agent.
