The method and the above-described spectrometer using a modulated perturbation of the concentration of reagents, eg. in complex radicals, induced by radiation, influence the production of substances and / or molecular states produced by recombination and by escaping radicals. A modulated magnetic field is applied to the material and changes in the absorption of the material resulting therefrom are detected with respect to the phase in a wide frequency range. The spectrometer is provided with irritation bodies of material to be analyzed, reception members of said material, of refroidissment elements and / or heating of the detecting the absorption spectrum of the resulting material, as well as a device applying a modulated magnetic field on the material. The detector elements have a photosensitive sensor which converts the absorbance changes caused by a DC absorption signal. Cooling and / or heating may be regulated to a temperature within a wide temperature range.
