Process for reprocessing the solution which is left after the removal of the enzymes upon the enzymatic racematic splitting of an N-acetyl-DL-amino acid in the presence of an L-amino acid acylase
Process for reprocessing the solution which is left after the removal of the enzymes upon the enzymatic racematic splitting of an N-acetyl-DL-amino acid in the presence of an L-amino acid acylase
The solution is worked up by electrodialysis of the fission solution. The electrodialysis device used consists of a large number of 3-chamber packages, each of which contains a feed and diluate chamber (1), a (basic) concentrate chamber (2) arranged on the cathode side thereof and an (acidic) concentrate chamber (3) arranged on the anode side of (1) ), each 3-chamber package being separated from each of the two neighboring ones by a device (4) in which water is broken down into OH - ions and H + ions. With this device, the cleavage solution used is separated into three solutions, the first of which contains the L-amino acid, the second of the cations present in the cleavage solution as hydroxides and the third of the anions present in the cleavage solution as free acids.
