The solution is worked up by electrodialysis of the fission solution. The electrodialysis device used consists of a large number of 3-chamber packages, each of which contains a feed and diluate chamber (1), a (basic) concentrate chamber (2) arranged on the cathode side thereof and an (acidic) concentrate chamber (3) arranged on the anode side of (1) ), each 3-chamber package being separated from each of the two neighboring ones by a device (4) in which water is broken down into OH - ions and H + ions.
