The warning triangle (1) comprises a base plate (2) and three reflective strips (3-5) which can be so fitted on the plate that at the corners each strip prevents longitudinal movement of an adjacent strip on the plate. The strips are secured on the plate by inserting mushroom-headed projections (7), provided on each strip, into corresponding keyhole slots in the plate and then sliding them, whereby each strip prevents the previously fitted strip from sliding back. Two strips (3,4) may be secured by sliding in one direction, e.g. clockwise, relative to the plate, whilst the third one is fitted by sliding in opposite direction and is preferably located by a snap-in stop (9) or the like.
