A shoe bottom (2) is designed according to biomechanical or orthopaedic points of view. Regions of the shoe bottom (2), which are absent in the basic body (2) in comparison with conventional shoe bottoms, are added by means of a lining body (5) made of flexible material, in order that the shoe bottom (2) on the whole looks like a conventional shoe bottom.
