This warning system provides monitoring which can be reliably carried out at justifiable expenditure by means of monitoring of the ventilator power and temperature, in that the measurement values for the ventilator power and the temperature are compared with one another and, by evaluating the comparison value with a threshold value generator, are used for triggering an alarm.
