Process and plant for the further processing of raw sludge taken off from a biological waste water (effluent) purification plant

Process for the further processing of raw sludge taken off from a biological waste water purification plant to give, on the one hand, digestion gas and, on the other hand, a landfillable and/or utilisable product in a biological sludge treatment plant having an anaerobic treatment stage operated as a methanation stage with a digestion vessel, the biomasses in the methanation stage experiencing a heating and the digestion gas as well as, via dewatering, the product, being taken off from the methanation stage. The raw sludge is adjusted by thickening and/or decanting to a dry matter content of 5 to 15%, preferably about 9%. A granular, porous microbe support material is introduced into the biomasses. A plant for carrying out the process is likewise described. IMAGE
