In a device for conveying thin materials such as leaves, sheets and webs in particular of paper, the leaves (14) are pressed by a counterpressure roll (16) against the circumference of a drivable conveying roll (10). On the shaft (18) of the counterpressure roll (16) or the shaft (12) of the conveying roll (10) rollers (20) are mounted which can be displaced eccentrically with respect to the shaft and are pressed by springs (26) against the opposite roll. The device can convey leaves (14) with a variable, adjustable pressure by varying the distance between the shafts (12 and 18). IMAGE
