Particularly in the case of solo pilots, in order to simplify the determination of the instantaneous location by direction finding using VOR transmitters and to find the location on the chart using only one hand, the VOR transmitters are connected to one another by elastic threads which can be deflected and extended with the aid of a pin or the like. They run over the circular scales which are arranged around the transmitters and make it possible to read the associated radial. The arrangement makes it possible to find the intersection of two radials very quickly.
