The invention relates to an accessory for playing the piano. In the invention, there is fitted to the piano a forearm supporting bar 1, of which the longitudinal section 2 runs parallel to the keyboard; the two lateral arms 4 and 4' are attached adjustably to the lateral sides of the piano, so that the attachment means 8 enable the supporting bar to be temporarily moved out of the way; the supporting bar may possess bearings in the form of sleeves of a compressible material which both slide along the bar and rotate around it.
