The apparatus comprises at least three hydraulic-action servomechanisms assigned to orienting and to lifting the arms of the nacelle carrying mast, and a control cabinet 35 situated in the nacelle 12. The cabinet sends out analog control signals. A transmitter 30 is associated with the cabinet 35 and is able to convert the control signals into digital signals with a servomechanism address. These signals are put into optical form by an interface 32 and addressed to a receiver means 40 via an optical fibre 20b.
