Immunotoxin having long-lasting action in vivo, consisting of a conjugate in which an antibody or antibody fragment is coupled, via a covalent structure containing a disulphide group, to the ricin A chain modified, for the purpose of endowing it with a long-lasting action in vivo, by oxidation of its glycoside units by the action of periodate ions and simultaneous blocking of the oxidation product by formation of a Schiff base with a suitable primary amine.
