METHOD OF MEASURING TEMPERATURE OF FIXED BED GAS GENERATOR AND TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION MEASURING INSTRUMENT

PURPOSE:To enable the temp. measurement free from a personal error without need of skill, by inserting a poker through a poking hole of a fixed bed gas generator, fixing the poker, inserting a radiant light receiving tube into the poker, and transmitting the radiant light incident on the tube to a thermometer. CONSTITUTION:Automatic poking apparatuses 1-6 and automatic temp. measuring apparatuses 7-15 are transferred on a poking hole 19A of a fixed bed gas generator 20 with an axis of rotation 16 and rotating motor 17 by means of remote control or automatic controller, followed by fixation of the axis of rotation 16. A poking hole closing apparatus 18A is opened, and a poler driving motor 6 is rotated to insert a hollow poker 1 having a closed head into a predetermined depth, followed by fixation. A radiant light receiving tube 7 is inserted into the poker 1 with a light receiving tube driving motor 12. The values of inner wall temp. of the poker 1, i.e., oven temp., and descent length, i.e., depth of the oven, each detected by the insertion of the light receiving tube are input into a recorder and/or an automatic controller. This method is free from a personal error of the measurement, requires no skill for the measurement, and enables the position and width of each layer to be simply judged and the temp. to be measured without fear of gas poisoning and burn.
