PURPOSE:To obtain raw silk having excellent feeling and dyeability, by unwinding cocoons in a reeling bath prepared by dissolving or dispersing a mordant and dye. CONSTITUTION:Cocoons are unwound in a reeling bath prepared by dissolving or dispersing a mordant, e.g., tannic acid, extract solution of Japanese gall, various metallic salts, etc., and/or a dye, e.g. natural dye, acid dye, basic dye, etc., to afford the aimed raw silk.
