PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction phenomenon of a vane by providing a gas feed passage communicated to a vane back pressure chamber at one end and feeding gas for the volume fluctuation of the vane back pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:A vane back pressure applying device 16 for a vane is provided on a rear side plate 7. When some time elapses after a stop of a compressor and the pressure difference between the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side becomes small, a spring 35 moves a plunger to a ball seat 29 side. Thereby, a gassy fluid is fed from the second gas feed passage 28 to a vane back pressure chamber 17 via the first gas feed passage 27 and an oil feed passage 18. Accordingly, the pressure reduction in the vane back pressure chamber 17 can be prevented, and the malfunction phenomenon of the vane can be prevented without impairing the durability of the compressor.
